Eolia Christian Community Outreach
We accept donations throughout the year. Donations are either sold through our ECCO Thrift Store to raise funds needed to support our ministry, or they are given to those in need in our community.
We accept many types of donated items, such as:
Gently used clothing and shoes
Kitchen supplies – dishes, pots & pans, cooking utensils
Books, videos, DVD’s, magazines
Children’s toys, games, books
Small and large household appliances
Bed linens, blankets, towels
Furniture and beds
Personal care items
Medical supplies – wheelchairs, canes, walkers, diabetic supplies, adult incontinence supplies
Baby clothing, diapers, wipes, baby formula, cribs, and baby care products
Canned goods and nonperishable food items

Home Health Agencies - supplies personal care items (lotion, shampoo, bed linens, hospital gowns, health care and cleaning supplies) to nurses and aides for patients. There are over 400 home health patients in Letcher County, at least half of them living below the poverty level.
Arlie Boggs Elementary School - Provides student supplies, back-packs, books, personal care items, clothing, snacks, and art supplies. Only 30% of their parents are high school graduates.
Health Access Nurturing Development Services (HANDS) - provides supplies to Letcher County Health Department for infant care.
L.K.L.P Community Action Council - Assists with utility bills, food, clothing, furniture, and other emergency needs.
Kentucky River Community Care - Works with special needs of children and their families.
Eastern Kentucky Veteran's Home - Supplies personal care items, clothes, snacks
Letcher County Senior Citizen Centers - Shares perishable food when ECCO receives more than they can distribute. Also shares fabric for quilts.
Appalachian Pregnancy Care Center - ECCO does a fundraiser once a year on behalf of APCC, to raise money to help save unborn babies. APCC cares for pregnant women and advocates for the lives of their unborn babies.
The ECCO Thrift Store hours of operation are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10 am – 2 pm. Closed on Tuesdays and weekends.
The thrift store sells gently used clothing and household items, as well as toys, books, videos and furniture. All proceeds from the sale of these donated items support the ECCO ministry.
